I am currently a student in a Teacher Education Program doing a teaching assisting semester in a 7th grade math classroom. My goal is to be able to teach high school math after I graduate and instill a love of learning in my students. Follow me as I reflect on my teaching experiences and post other thoughts, when they should arise, about math education and education in general.

  1. You have a dedicated venue to voice your profound thoughts about math education. So many math educators before you have learned in quiet isolation and shared their discoveries of the art and science of teaching mathematics informally or at conferences. We deserve to hear what you learn as you grow.

Be a proud educator. Share your reflections and learning. All students need both your dedication and passion to inspire and ignite their own love of mathematics.

For some (teachers and students both), it’s a struggle. For others, it’s as easy as 3.14159..
